It eliminates the need for lenthy photoshop selective. The NIK Collection version 3, available today, works as a standalone set of applications or as a plugin suite for Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, and DXOs own PhotoLab editor. They’re powerful, intuitive to use and well worth sacrificing a bit of space on your hard drive. Its U point technology has revolutionized my digital processing and sped up my work flow to hyper speed. Only time will tell but, for now, download the plug-ins and enjoy them.

While free access to these outstanding plug-ins is great news, one has to wonder about the future of the Nik Collection and whether Google will continue supporting the software with updates. As we continue to focus our long-term investments in building incredible photo editing tools for mobile, including Google Photos and Snapseed, we’ve decided to make the Nik Collection desktop suite available for free, so that now anyone can use it. Although Google has updated the plug-ins in the past, albeit not recently. Photo enthusiasts all over the world use the Nik Collection to get the best out of their images every day. Google acquired Nik Software in September, 2012 and users were concerned about whether Google would continue Nik’s legacy of innovation.

According to the Google blog post below, anyone who purchased the Nik Collection in 2016 will get a refund. In addition to Analog Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro, Viveza, HDR Efex Pro, Sharpener Pro and Dfine, you’ll also be able to download one of the best black and white conversion software on the market today, Silver Efex Pro. The Collection includes a half-dozen plugins-, all compatible with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Apple Aperture.
The toolbag includes vintage camera filters, black-and-white controls, HDR effects, noise reduction, color correction, color enhancement, and sharpening. I uninstalled Nik and reinstalled, but to no avail. Now when I attempt to use my Nik collection Color Efex pro, or one of the other more complicated effects, Photoshop simply quits. I recently downloaded the newest version of Adobe CC for photoshop (2018). As of March 24, Google has made its Nik Collection of plug-ins free–a huge price drop from its recent $149 price. Per Google: The Nik Collection is a set of seven plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Apple Aperture. Google Nik collection add on no longer works with updated CC.
